Dear Sam…

The week where I finally put silicone on my mould, and I became a ring master for the morning

Monday 7th November

I tell you now, It is absolutely Baltic at the minute in the mornings, like ice cold and I hate it 😦 especially when your tired and rather be in bed lol… This morning in Tina’s class it was time to start building the walls around my mould ready to pour the silicone in to create the negative ready to make the actual prosthetic… We use WED clay which is wet and then dries hard. You have to create key holes and stuff so when you remove it, it doesn’t cause a suction which means it could get stuck lol.

This is basically what it looks like, I didn’t get a picture of the actual silicone in the mould, so iv dug out my one from last year 🙂 944884_10153184853671362_3201754375634003905_nThis was the one for the deer looking one I did 😀

The process takes about 6 hours to cure, so next week ill be able to go in and pull it apart and have my negative… this brings me on to deciding we were going home at 12 🙂 we had nothing else to do, plus as per usual no Gary this week lol… I think he’s given up on us lot haha.

Tuesday 8th November

Today, I was being a model for Ashleigh for her moustache assessment, we had a arranged a few weeks ago that id help her out and model her wonderful moustache :D, her idea was a ring master with big pom pom looking hair, and this moustache, with full outfit! I even got to play around with a whip!! lol…. she started off adding in the extra hair and curling them, then apply the moustache! MY GOD is it super itchy… I don’t know how actors and stuff can go a full day of filming with that attached to their face! I could only have it on for about and hour and a half… it was horrible lol. Anyway she then applied my makeup and it was time to get dressed and head to the studio!… Sophie was also modelling for Katie and she was a pirate, we had a few photos taken together as we looked great!

After Sam’s class me and Leah decided we were super tired and didn’t have the brain space or patience to head to Anna Mays class, so we headed home 😀 so that was 2 days where we finished at lunch time (Head in hands)

This week I had ago at painting bubbles… this is for Tina’s assessment, I watched loads of YouTube videos and then had ago myself…There green as the bubbles for my assessment will be green, I also found that the green worked better than the black and white 😀

Dear Sam…

Dear Sam….

The week Where I Couldn’t Get To Uni & Nicole Saved The Day!

It started on Saturday night…. the weather was pretty bad all day, it had been raining non stop, work was dead because nobody wanted to venture out into what became storm Desmond!

I eventually got home for 8ish, turns out in 3 hours time the whole of town  was going to be sent into a BLACKOUT! that was everything! Traffic lights, street lights, even the town clock had stopped the train station had completely shut down, and they had even cut the lights to the motorway… there was no electricity what so ever…. time to get the torches and candles out! this whole situation basically lasted until yesterday morning (Tuesday 8th December) because everything had stopped, it meant I couldn’t get through to uni as I had no way of getting there, it makes you realise how much you need electricity in your life 🙂

on the Monday night, Nicole bless her little heart, came through with her boyfriend with a survival pack for us… full of soup, bread, batteries and even a box of quality street to keep moral high! I was so happy to see them when they got here as I felt like we had been in an apocalypse for about 3 days with no contact to anyone due to the phone signals being down as well. They were absolute stars! and I cant thank them enough for their help….

also saying thank you to all the local services and people who were out all night away from their families sorting out generators to power the old peoples homes and working hours to try and get the substation backup and running… it was amazing how the community came together to help each other out in a time of need.

So that was my adventure for this week… gutted I missed out on bald caps and starting my literature review with Lindsay…. but hey ho… last week of uni next week and then its Christmas break…

speak soon 🙂
